Lets make believe

Lets make believe that
for a second
you
just arent
that for a second you just
never have been
and for that second
you've never been or ever will be.

The only thing you can do
is observe,
not like you havent been but,
now you take yourself
out of equations
you take yourself out
of the picture,
you take that self and make it not.

Lets make believe
that you are selfless
that you are mindfull
and that you understand.

Now you have no gain
no personal interest
and you could care less.

Ok, now ask that self of yours that is not...
ask,
"why should I give a damn?"
